Inscape launched its new Tisch system at NeoCon 2009 in Chicago 15-17 June. Tisch is an award winning European designed table-based system that promotes interaction, collaboration and communication. As work environments continually evolve to meet the diverse needs of a growing multigenerational workforce, workplace design must change to accommodate the various styles of work. Tisch is a furniture solution that will enable designers and facility managers to easily manage changing workplace needs.

A small set of modular components and an intelligent rail system allow Tisch to easily migrate from desking to benching to conferencing applications. Elegant design and flexibility combine for a system that is ideal for collaborative and project-focused applications, but that can also adapt for individual and traditional applications. A comprehensive cable management system provides fast and easy access to power and data. Accessory rails, organiser units, desk screens, filing trays and shelves help users to work more efficiently.

Tisch will be manufactured at Inscape’s production facilities with strict adherence to minimising the impact on the environment. A fully integrated component of the Inscape offering, Tisch shares consistent material and finish palette options to seamlessly blend with other Inscape products. With Tisch, modern European styling is now conveniently available to the North American contract furniture market with order acceptance commencing on 15 July 2009.

Customised configurations offer convenience

Tisch utilises space efficiently and creates dynamic workplaces that can be reconfigured as required. Individual modules interact to produce a wide spectrum of customised applications while preserving much desired flexibility. As desks and meeting tables allow different levels of functionality, Tisch supports various work styles and adapts to any type of workplace.

Various tabletop shapes combine with smart cable management to make work convenient. Sliding tops easily unlock and move forward to allow access to power and data cables at any point of the cable tray. Cables are routed vertically in attractive cable casings that are connected at either end of the cable tray. Thanks to patented aluminium pressure-cast clamps combining longitudinal bars with the leg frame, this multi-functional product is easily assembled and adapts quickly to changing user requirements: all fasteners can be undone with a simple Allen key, the table frames are easy to assemble, dismantle, relocate and link up to form a variety of new workplace configurations.

Personal space and productivity

A variety of desk screens and partitions can be organised to provide visual and acoustical division for concentrated individual task work. These privacy elements provide a multi-faceted, additional work surface that can be organised with a wide range of add-on elements including tackable and magnet boards, shelves, and trays to increase functionality. The system becomes part of an integrated office concept, with a focus on clever, customised organisation of space that works both horizontally and vertically.

Storage options built to inspire

Thanks to the storage capabilities of Office Specialty by Inscape, a variety of highly functional and versatile filing and storage products are available for integration with Tisch. A new aesthetic front option, T-Series, was also introduced at Neocon 2009 to complement the clean, elegant lines of Tisch. The new T-Series front option will be available on a full line of pedestals, laterals, storage cases and the award winning Storwal storage system, which can all be seamlessly integrated with Tisch.
