Waverley Council in NSW has installed a 200,000l rainwater harvesting tank for irrigation of Waverley Park. As part of the upgrade, an AUSDRAIN Tank was installed to increase the amount of rainwater captured on-site.

The system was installed to provide irrigation for the park and playing fields. It is expected that the project will help save over seven million litres of drinking water per year, optimise irrigation for Waverley Park and improve water security in times of drought.

AUSDRAIN specialises in the manufacture and distribution of drainage cell products and modular underground tank systems for rainwater harvesting and storm water management.

The tank consists of 1,850 Ausdrain EnviroModules – extra duty to create the tank dimensions of 24m-long x 9.2m-wide x 0.9m-deep. A heavy-duty impermeable liner was pre-fabricated to suit the dimensions of the tank. The EnviroModules are quick and easy to assemble and lightweight so heavy lifting machinery was not required and the tank was cost-effectively installed by hand.

AUSDRAIN provides stormwater and sub-surface drainage solutions to a diverse range of projects in Australia and overseas including building and construction, landscaping, roads and civil works, tunnels, sports fields, race courses, councils, residential and commercial developments and sub-divisions.
