The Western Australia (WA) Government has announced the completion of the new Bayswater Station, part of the overarching METRONET programme in Perth.聽
This station will serve as a central junction for three trainlines.聽

The newly completed station is already operational for the Midland and Airport Lines, with the anticipation of the METRONET Morley-Ellenbrook Line joining later this year.
The station’s design includes an elevated four-platform structure, a bus interchange, a car park, bike parking facilities, and retail spaces.
An expression of interest process for the ten new retail spaces at the station’s base is underway, with businesses expected to move in later in the year.聽聽
Construction of the station, which began in late 2020, involved the complex task of integrating three separate trainlines and included the demolition of the Bayswater Bridge.聽

The station’s southern half was opened in October of the previous year, and the northern half has seen continuous progress over the past six months.

With the major construction works recently concluded, focus has shifted to the station’s landscaping.聽聽
Efforts include the planting of more than 170 trees and approximately 16,000 plants and shrubs across 4,300m虏聽of new garden beds.聽聽
Additionally, several public art installations are being finalised to enhance the station’s surroundings in the upcoming months.
This comes after the state government announced the completion of the new METRONET Ellenbrook Station last month.聽
Ellenbrook Station, which began construction in 2022, is now the first station on the Morley-Ellenbrook Line to reach completion.聽聽
